As a result of a comprehensive renovation project unveiled Labor Day weekend 2008, Shipyard Golf Club is better than ever. The course makeover included spectacular new white sand bunkers and a green surface previously unexplored in the state of South Carolina. Shipyard now features Diamond Zoysia greens, which are expected to improve year-round playing conditions. In conjunction with the course improvements, the Shipyard clubhouse has also been revamped. Improvements to the clubhouse include new furniture and granite countertops in the restaurant, new doors and lighting fixtures throughout, and new flat screen televisions for the outdoor patio area. The three nine-hole layouts, each with multiple tee positions, that make up Shipyard Golf Club offer a number of different combinations suited for all ability levels, and offer some of the most spectacular views imaginable.
