Located in the southeast corner of Alabama, Highland Oaks offer three nine- hole championship golf courses. The Highlands/Magnolia combination was named by Golf Digest as the 7th best new public course in America in 1994 and 31st in their list of America’s top 50 Affordable Courses. This combination was also named by Golf Digest’s Places to Play as one of the nation’s Great Value courses.
This 36-hole complex features some of the longest and most classically designed holes on the Trail. Each nine has a different personality. The Magnolia nine is well-named: specimen magnolia trees dot the higher ground, which is reached via a 1,000 foot long wooden bridge spanning a marsh filled with lichen-dappled trees. The feature hole is the 416-yard fifth, where a split-level fairway offers an option off the tee.
